We Love Books!
Linking up again with Mrs. Jump's Class for her book sharing linky!
Today I would like to share a picture book I discovered this summer when reading books with my grandson, Corbin. We went to the little library down the road and found this gem--Crazy Hair Day by Barney Saltzberg. What a stitch, and it packs a wonderful lesson, too!
Stanley's school is celebrating Crazy Hair Day! He even has the special day marked on his calendar! His mom helps him do up his hair in a super funky do, and he is off to school thinking he will have the craziest hair of all. Well, he does! Stanley mixed up the days--it's actually picture day!! Seriously emberassed, he hides out in the bathroom, hoping he can stay there all day. Eventually, he is lured out only to discover that all of his classmates have created crazy hair and are ready for the class picture!
My grandson loved it! Perfect for addressing character challenges and how they respond to their challenges as well as problem solution. And now that I know the library has it, one less book I THINK I need to purchase with amazonPrime! Ha!
I also found that the book is available to read online! Click here to visit Barney Saltzberg's website.
AND don't forget---our brand-new blog is up and running--Adventures in Guided Math! We hope you will take the time to check it out, become an adventurer (follower), and enter to win one of our fabulous prize packages! You may enter to win through Friday, July 4th.
You can also still enter to win my newly listed ten frame clipart collection. Click the picture below to be directed to the post where you can enter!
